This week, we decided to take a break from sailing Cadence, and instead, we went out to watch the sailboat races on Clear Lake.
There was just one problem with our plan…the dinghy was too small for the big waves!
The original plan was to just jump around the corner to Kemah (in a protected channel), and then come back to watch the races.
However, COVID shut down our local pizza stop.
That meant we had to go all the way across Clear Lake to our old stomping grounds, Boondoggles.
Needless to say, this left us vulnerable to the south wind and big waves.
Hey, at least we didn’t get the pizza wet!
