Learning to sail has been a blast, and yet, it was never really our focus. We bought the sailboat to (1) travel by water and (2) to live minimalist, and we never intended to enjoy the simple act of sailing – man, were we wrong!
Learning to sail is not only challenging, but it’s also invigorating and calming all at the same time!
However, we have a long way to go before we’re able to safely pierce the safety of the bay into the challenging Gulf of Mexico!
That’s why we dedicated three days to nothing but sailing…and doing it by the ASA 101 sailing lesson book. 🙂
Sharpening Sailing Skills
It’s been a few months since our first lessons, and just a few days since our offshore lessons in our Catalina 387.
You know what they say, practice makes perfect.
